Sinekatalog’s take
Marcel Carné's first feature, a Paris melodrama written by Jacques Prévert, follows a nightclub owner and her family. Françoise Rosay is strong in a stylish if conventional drama that shows early signs of Carné's poetic realism.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
