Sinekatalog’s take
Julien Duvivier's drama follows five unemployed friends who win the lottery and renovate a ruined inn, until greed and a woman divide them. Jean Gabin is superb in a warm, tragic Popular Front classic with two famous endings.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
