Sinekatalog’s take

G.W. Pabst's mining drama has German miners crossing the border to rescue French colleagues after a disaster. Tense and humanist, with striking sets, it is a powerful early sound plea for international solidarity.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
