Sinekatalog’s take
G.W. Pabst's early sound war film follows four German soldiers in the trenches in 1918, with brutal, realistic battle scenes. Harrowing and humane, it is a powerful anti-war classic that holds up.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
