Sinekatalog’s take
Kumar Shahani's film, a FIPRESCI prize winner at Rotterdam, explores the khayal tradition of Indian classical music in an abstract historical tale. Elegant and formal, with music at its heart, it is a rich, difficult work.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
