A nightmarish portrait of the last days of Stalin.

Sinekatalog’s take

Aleksei German's nightmarish black-and-white epic follows a Soviet general caught up in Stalin's last days. Crowded, chaotic and grotesque, with a stunning sense of period filth and fear, it is a daunting, towering masterpiece.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
