A boy goes in search of his mother on a summer holiday with a crude, foul-tempered yakuza who is paid to accompany him.
Sinekatalog’s take
Takeshi Kitano's road comedy pairs a boy and a foul-tempered yakuza in a gentle summer odyssey. Silly, sweet and tender, with Joe Hisaishi's lovely score, it shows Kitano's warm side.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
