A widow and her daughter are pressed into marriage by friends.
Sinekatalog’s take
Yasujiro Ozu's late drama has friends scheming to marry off a widow's daughter. Setsuko Hara and Yoko Tsukasa are lovely, and the film's gentle humour and mournful grace make a masterful portrait of family and change.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
