Sinekatalog’s take

Jean-Pierre Melville's debut sets a courteous German officer against a French uncle and niece who refuse to speak. Spare and tense, with eloquent silence, it is a restrained, moving drama of resistance and longing.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
