The last days of the painter Modigliani.
Sinekatalog’s take
Jacques Becker's biopic follows Modigliani's last days in poverty and illness in Paris. Gérard Philipe is superb and Anouk Aimée lovely in a tragic, lyrical portrait of an artist unrecognised in his time.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
