Plot
In July 1995, Aida, a translator for the United Nations in Srebrenica, sees the Serbian army take the town. As thousands of civilians crowd around the UN base, she tries to use her position to save her husband and two sons from the massacre, while the peacekeepers prove unable to protect them. Jasmila Žbanić's 2020 film is a powerful, devastating account of the genocide, and was nominated for an Academy Award.
