Sinekatalog’s take

Mehboob Khan's social drama of 1942 contrasts greed and humanity in a story of wealth and hunger. Chandra Mohan and Sheikh Mukhtar lead a moral, earnest film that shows his early concern with class.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
