Sinekatalog’s take

Mehboob Khan's 1940 social drama tells of a peasant woman who fights poverty and a moneylender to raise her sons. Sardar Akhtar is strong in the film he remade, more famously, as Mother India.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
