Plot
A mysterious gunfighter, Shane, rides into a Wyoming valley in the 1880s where homesteaders are being pushed out by a ruthless cattle baron. He takes a job with one family, whose young son Joey idolises him, and finds he can't escape his past when the baron hires a killer. Based on Jack Schaefer's novel.
Sinekatalog’s take
A classic Western that sees the myth through a child's eyes, with spectacular mountain scenery and a perfect Alan Ladd. Its last shot and the cry 'Come back, Shane!' have stayed in the memory.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
