Plot

A man returns to Sicily.

Sinekatalog’s take

Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet's austere film follows a man's return to Sicily, rendered in long conversational scenes and landscape. Stark, formal and demanding, it is a rigorous, poetic adaptation of Vittorini.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
