Sinekatalog’s take

Straub and Huillet's last joint film adapts Cesare Pavese's dialogues, staged in a wooded landscape with mythical figures speaking of fate. Austere, lyrical and deeply composed, it is a rigorous, haunting farewell to their shared work.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
