Plot
A black African man arrives in Paris from Mauritania and looks for work, but faces racism, condescension and the contradictions of French society. He wanders the streets, meets people in the immigrant community and begins to question the colonial heritage that brought him there. Med Hondo's 1967 film, made on a tiny budget, is an angry, experimental work, mixing realism with satire and poetry.
Sinekatalog’s take
