Sinekatalog’s take

Youssef Chahine's epic follows Egyptian peasants in the 1930s resisting a landlord who seizes their land. Passionate and earthy, with a fierce final image, it is a powerful classic of Arab cinema and rural struggle.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
