Sinekatalog’s take
Michael Cacoyannis's tragedy has Melina Mercouri as a free-spirited Athenian singer whose refusal to marry leads to doom. Electric and defiant, with a breakout Mercouri, it is a powerful and fiery Greek classic.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
