Sinekatalog’s take
Ermanno Olmi's quiet drama follows an engaged couple separated when the man takes a job in Sicily. Gentle and neorealist, with careful observation of working-class lives, it is a tender, understated study of love at a distance.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
