Sinekatalog’s take
Márta Mészáros's drama has a 1930s Hungarian wife, unable to conceive, ask another woman to bear her husband's child. Isabelle Huppert and Lili Monori are subtle in a quiet, class-aware film about women's choices and politics.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
