Sinekatalog’s take
Bille August's adaptation of Isabel Allende's novel is handsome and star-filled, but it struggles to compress a sprawling saga. Meryl Streep and Jeremy Irons try, though the magic mostly stays on the page.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
