A father and son watch a football match from 1988.

Sinekatalog’s take

Corneliu Porumboiu's documentary has him watch a 1988 Romanian football match, refereed by his father, with his father, who recalls the era's pressure and corruption. Dry, funny and thoughtful, it is a unique, quiet study of memory and the Ceaușescu years.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
