Sinekatalog’s take

Vittorio De Sica's neorealist drama of a mother and daughter in wartime Italy is harrowing and humane. Sophia Loren won an Oscar for a performance of raw power that remains one of her finest.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
