Sinekatalog’s take

Gleb Panfilov's drama portrays Vassa Zheleznova, a ruthless merchant matriarch struggling to protect her family empire before the 1917 revolution. Inna Churikova is magnificent in a rich, stagey, sharply acted adaptation of Gorky.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
