Plot
A documentary on Israel. Known in French as Pourquoi Israël.
Sinekatalog’s take
Claude Lanzmann's documentary looks at Israel through interviews with its people, as a new nation grows from memory and conflict. Thoughtful and wide-ranging, it is an early work that leads toward the immense scale of Shoah.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
