Sinekatalog’s take
Alberto Lattuada's neorealist drama follows an African-American soldier and an Italian girl in love among Livorno's postwar criminals. John Kitzmiller and Carla Del Poggio are touching in a bold, bleak and humane film about race and survival.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
