Plot
A rough, earthy version of Emily Brontë's novel, in which the adopted Heathcliff, played by a Black actor, loves Cathy on the Yorkshire moors.
Sinekatalog’s take
Andrea Arnold's rough, earthy adaptation strips the novel of its glamour. Cast with a Black Heathcliff and shot in muddy naturalism, it is bold and immersive but cold and fragmentary.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
