Sinekatalog’s take
Douglas Sirk's wartime romance follows a German soldier on leave finding love amid Allied bombing. Sombre and moving, in colour, it is a sincere, anti-war melodrama with grim honesty and gentle tenderness.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
