Plot

Through salsa and merengue dance nights, shared memories, and limited earnings working for a local drug dealer, Julio Cesar and his mother struggle to maintain their love-filled but oppressive lifestyle. The arrival of Ines, an attractive young Colombian drug mule, threatens to unsettle their tenuous stability.

Sinekatalog’s take

Salsa nights and petty crime frame the claustrophobic bond between a son and his mother, until a newcomer disturbs their fragile balance. It is warm yet suffocating, with a strong sense of place. Rewarding for those who like intimate, character-led dramas.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
