Sinekatalog’s take
Souleymane Cissé's drama follows a young engineer and a porter who join forces against a tyrannical Bamako factory owner. Powerful and political, with a vivid sense of Mali's working life, it is a key early work of African cinema.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
