Plot

A 1955 Adventure/epic film following the legend of Battal Gazi, a man from Malatia who really lived and fought the Byzantines.

Sinekatalog’s take

A straightforward screen version of the Battal Gazi legend, with Byzantine battles and heroic derring-do in the classic Yeşilçam adventure mold. Expect simple characters and theatrical action rather than nuance. Nostalgic fans of old Turkish epics will be the happiest audience.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
