Plot
Explores the strange routine of three of the Baczynski siblings: from 5pm to 8pm every day, for over thirty years Dorota, Tadeusz and Mordechaj have sat on a blue velvet sofa to wait for death to arrive. This ritual gives them the illusory belief that nothing fatal will happen to them for the rest of the day.
Sinekatalog’s take
Three elderly siblings have sat on a blue velvet sofa every evening for decades, waiting for death so that nothing fatal happens the rest of the day. This short is an absurd, darkly tender portrait of ritual and fear, memorable for lovers of quirky documentary-like films.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
