Plot

A day in the life of a cart driver in Dakar.

Sinekatalog’s take

Ousmane Sembène's short film follows a Dakar cart driver through a day of poverty and humiliation. Simple and sharp, it is a foundational work of African cinema and a quietly angry social portrait.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
