Sinekatalog’s take

Hou Hsiao-hsien's early breakthrough follows teenage friends from the Penghu islands drifting in Kaohsiung. Loose, observant and gently funny, it is a tender, semi-autobiographical coming-of-age film that sets his style.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
