Sinekatalog’s take
Kira Muratova's film follows a local official and a housemaid who both love a travelling geologist, in loosely structured scenes. Funny and bittersweet, with Vladimir Vysotsky, it is a shelved Soviet gem rediscovered later.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
