Sinekatalog’s take

George Cukor's romantic tearjerker has Greta Garbo as the doomed courtesan. Garbo's luminous, restrained performance and the film's lavish MGM polish make this a definitive weepie.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
