Plot

The film depicts the horror of rabies in a small town. World War II is raging. The war affects the lives of people living in a small town in southern Anatolia, as it does everywhere else in Turkey. The village chief, Haşim, is making a fortune by supplying raw materials to Germany through guests from Ankara.

Sinekatalog’s take

A village drama set during the war years, where fear of disease and the greed of a powerful headman collide. It pairs social critique with a heavy, claustrophobic mood. Serious and bleak, worth a look for fans of Anatolian realist cinema.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
