Sinekatalog’s take
Béla Tarr's first fully-formed black-and-white nightmare follows a lonely man scheming in a rainy industrial town. Slow, hypnotic and bleak, it announced the style that defined Tarr's later masterpieces.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
