Plot
October 1918: Karl Liebknecht is released from prison and Berlin workers celebrate his release. Although WWI is almost over, the German Kaiserreich in vain sends its last reserves to the slaughter.
Sinekatalog’s take
Berlin workers celebrate Karl Liebknecht's release as the Kaiser's empire sends its last reserves to a pointless slaughter. A staged East German historical drama of revolution, it is committed and didactic, best for viewers interested in the German left's story.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
