Sinekatalog’s take
In a remote corner of the Russian Empire, a doctor administers a lethal dose of ether to a young woman he desires. Krzysztof Zanussi turns this chilling premise into a stylized moral drama about power and conscience. Austere and thought-provoking, for admirers of intellectual cinema.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
