Plot

Precocious tween Karin finds herself abandoned by her father in rural Japan. Living in a temple with her grandfather, she meets Anzu, a giant "ghost cat" and notorious layabout tasked with looking after her.

Sinekatalog’s take

A whimsical animated comedy about a lonely girl and a lazy, giant cat spirit who is supposed to watch over her. It balances silliness with real feeling about abandonment and growing up, and the rural-temple setting adds charm; a nice pick for families and animation lovers.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
