Plot
A Lancashire bootmaker is outwitted by his eldest daughter.
Sinekatalog’s take
David Lean's Lancashire comedy has Charles Laughton as a tyrannical bootmaker outwitted by his daughter. Laughton is gloriously blustering, and the film is a warm, witty gem of British comedy.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
