Sinekatalog’s take

Fernando Pérez's film depicts the childhood of Cuba's national hero José Martí, in a lyrical, painterly style. Tender and visually beautiful, it is a distinctive, humane biopic that favours sensibility over speeches.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
