Plot

The story of İskilipli Atıf Hoca, who was sentenced to death by the Independence Court for opposing the hat law after the proclamation of the Republic.

Sinekatalog’s take

A religious figure is condemned to death for opposing a dress law in the early republic. The historical drama is earnest, politically charged and partisan in its sympathies. Best for viewers interested in contested episodes of national history.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
