Plot

Peker Mengen wins the post of mayor in a remote town with the promise of a visit by the prime minister and making the town a province. When the people do not forget his promise, Mengen ends up persuading the prime minister to visit the town with his idiosyncratic methods.

Sinekatalog’s take

A broad small-town farce built on a single reckless campaign promise and the absurd lengths a mayor goes to in order to keep it. The humor is loud and familiar, powered by provincial eccentrics rather than sharp writing. Good for an undemanding evening of Turkish comedy.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
