Sinekatalog’s take
A Turkish drama about a village wife who cannot bear children and, under community pressure, accepts a second wife. Atıf Yılmaz treats custom, patriarchy and female solidarity with compassion. A strong choice for viewers interested in socially engaged Turkish cinema.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
