Plot
A Swedish woman marries a Puerto Rican landowner and regrets it.
Sinekatalog’s take
Douglas Sirk's melodrama follows a Swedish woman who marries a Puerto Rican landowner and regrets it in a stifling tropical setting. Zarah Leander gives a glamorous turn in a lavish, studio-bound and pre-Hollywood Sirk work with Nazi-era overtones.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
