Plot
A young Russian store clerk has a drab existence in times of shortages and is berated by her ailing mother for not seeing men. So she brings home an unknown young man who she met on the tram.
Sinekatalog’s take
A wry romantic comedy of loneliness in a period of scarcity, where one impulsive act changes a household. Its humour is gentle and its heart is in the right place. A nice pick for fans of Russian tragicomedies.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
