Sinekatalog’s take

Luis Buñuel's Mexican drama follows a priest trying to live by the Gospels and being punished for his goodness. Francisco Rabal is moving, and the film's ironic, ambiguous faith makes a quietly powerful critique.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
